Tally’s career started at the Dawn Cragg school of Film & TV where she qualified with distinction in all aspects of Media make-up and hair design.

An award-winning highly respected celebrity hair and make up designer, Tally boasts 30 years industry experience.

A pioneer in the art of body painting Tally quickly established herself in her early career on the world stage winning the UK final of the Dominelli body painting championship holding third position for GB in the world finals in Vancouver Canada.

In the early 90’s Tally landed her dream job spending 2yrs on-the-road as personal make-up artist to the world renowned boyband Take That.

With extensive TV work for all the major channels under her belt Tally has enjoyed the prestigious position of being Hair and Make-up designer on several award winning productions.

She has spent 7 consecutive years with CBeebies on their beautiful adaptation of the Northern Ballet’s production of The Ugly Duckling (2013)Three Little Pigs (2014) Elves & The Shoemaker (2015) Tortoise and The Hare (2016) Goldilocks & The 3 Bears (2017) Puss In Boots (2019) and Little Red Riding Hood (2020) for television.

She also holds the credit for Hair and Make up designer in the CBeebies production of Shakespeare’s Midsummer Nights Dream in 2016 and The Tempest in 2018.

Tally was also privileged and proud to have designed a production very close to her heart when she worked on the BAFTA nominated Ann Frank: A Life In Hiding for newsround in 2019.

Tally’s creative touch is regularly seen in popular publications such as Hello!, Ok!, Marie Claire and the Telegraph, her work has also been featured at the NTA’s, Soap Awards & other red carpet events.

In 2016 Tally teamed up with fellow make up artist and good friend Collette Casey to launch Pro Make-up Academy in Manchester.
A unique and exciting style of make up training passing on their industry secrets, tricks of the trade and techniques which have been invaluable to them over the years.

Tally has been lucky enough to combine her love of bridal clients with her love of her TV work in the dream job of working with Gok Wan on series 1,2 and 3 of the highly successful Say Yes To The Dress Lancashire.

Tally’s USP goes further than her passion, experience and skill, her personable manner instills confidence in Her clients making them return time and time again.

Currently also working as a session tutor at UCEN Manchester teaching students studying a FdA Make-up Artistry degree. It is there that Tally thrives on the opportunity to pass on her wealth of experience to students who share the same passion and drive.
